Summary:
The behaviour of an intermittently working system having three types of components has been investigated, incorporating the concepts of stand-by redundancy and reduced efficiency. A mathematical model has been formulated for exponential distributions considering failure, waiting and repair times. The Laplace Transforms of probabilisties corresponding to different states of the system have been obtained. Some particular cases have been discussed. In the end, a numerical example has been added to illustrate the method.
