Most of us use the decimal system with digits 0 to 9 to represent integer numbers. It is technically convenient for computers to represent numbers in the binary system with digits 0 and 1. Although these two number representations are the most common, there are many others, which are often more useful. We shall explore number systems which accept also negative digits. (English) |
