| Summary: | The article looks into the question whether the article is a special case of a rectangle (as the Czech textbooks of the primary school use such a definition of a rectangle that a square is not its special case). The author considers mathematical, didactic and psychological aspects of the situation of defining a rectangle. The possible definitions of other geometric shapes are discussed. Finally, some tasks are given which come from the era of New Maths for readers to solve. (English) |
