Summary:
In this chapter, we will briefly introduce Hilbert’s third problem and its solution presented by Hilbert’s student Max Dehn. We will also recall further developments in this area. Finally, we present a recently discovered solution to Hilbert’s third problem, presented by the Polish mathematician Ludwik Antoni Birkenmajer in 1882.
