Summary:
Expressions for the thermal deflection of thin isotropic rectangular plates of varying thickness are obtained. The temperature is supposed to be non-steady but the time is treated as a parameter. Hence the deflections obtained are quasi-static. The result is obtained by solving the partial differential equation directly.
