The article describes the program of Marie Curies visit in our country from 15 to 18 June, 1925. Marie Sklodowska-Curie, twice awarded a Nobel Prize, visited Prague to see over the National Radiological Institution and the Economic-Physiological Institute at the ČVUT. Then she went on to Lany where she was received by the President of the Republic, T. G. Masaryk. However, she was particularly interested in visiting Jachymov and its surrounding, from where her husband Pierre Curie and she had obtained the precious raw material for their discovery of new radioactive elements—polonium and radium (1898).
