Summary:
Na různých konferencích německých a rakouských historiků matematiky se při přednáškách objevuje jméno Seligmanna Kantora, ať už v souvislosti s vývojem některých matematických disciplín (kombinatorika, teorie konfigurací či geometrické transformace) nebo hodnocením jeho tvorby učebnic. Většina přednášejících však podotýká, že neví nic o jeho životě, že nezná jeho osud a~netuší ani, jak vypadal. V tomto článku se pokusíme shrnout vše zásadní, co se o něm podařilo archivním bádáním zjistit.
