(Czech)
Summary: The article deals with Zipf's law, which was described as the relationship between the order and frequency of words in literary works. After a brief review of the historical context, there are examples of both literature and available population statistics. Finally, we will show that power laws are a common phenomenon not only in literature but also in biological or economic sciences. (English)
