Summary:
Článek se zabývá Zipfovým zákonem, který byl popsán jako vztah mezi pořadím a četností slov v literárních dílech. Po krátkém připomenutí historických souvislostí následují příklady jak z oblasti literatury, tak z dostupných statistik obyvatelstva. Na závěr ukážeme, že mocninné zákony jsou běžným fenoménem nejen v literatuře, ale také v biologických či ekonomických vědách.
Summary:
The article deals with Zipf's law, which was described as the relationship between the order and frequency of words in literary works. After a brief review of the historical context, there are examples of both literature and available population statistics. Finally, we will show that power laws are a common phenomenon not only in literature but also in biological or economic sciences.
