Summary:
Jedním z nejpoužívanějších testů statistické významnosti je tzv. Studentův t-test. Autorem matematického modelu, na kterém je tento test založen, je britský statistik William Sealy Gosset (1876-1937). Článek popisuje podstatu a vznik tohoto testu v matematickém a historickém kontextu.
Summary:
One of the most used tests of statistical significance is the so called Student’s t-test. The author of the mathematical model on which this test is based is the British statistician William Sealy Gosset (1876-1937). The article describes the essence and origin of this test in a~mathematical and historical context.
