Summary:
Kolmogorov, probably the most famous Russian mathematician of the 20th century, affected significantly almost all parts of mathematics including its teaching at secondary schools. The article deals with his main scientific contributions and also with his plans to change curricula of mathematical education at all levels of schools. Kolmogorov’s close friend was P.S. Aleksandrov, another famous Russian mathematician.
